The URSA Shoulder System has been disigned for hemiarthroplasty
of the shoulder. Because of its modular design, the URSA
Shoulder System offers the surgeon excelent alternatives
of the stem and head sizes to enable him givethe best
possible results. The modular components allow better
reconstruction of the rotator cuff and tuberosity mechanism
in these difficult fractures. In addition, the variable
head sizes and neck lengths allow the surgeons to better
recreate the normal humeral length, which is so important
in tensioning of the soft tissues and providing maximum
postoperative stability and function.
Humeral Stem:
-Absence of humeral neck allows implantation of the humeral
stem prior to glenoid resurfacing.
-The shape of the humeral stem component allows for
the better lateralization of the tuberosity
fragments, ensuring better rotator
cuff function.
-Rotational stability enhanced by proximal lateral fin
-Titanium Ti-6AL-4V ELI and Stainless Steel 316LVM variant
for biocompatibility and strength
-190mm stems to address complex fractures and revision
of failed prostheses
-Complete line of provisional components and instrumentation
to ensure accurate alignment and proper
tensioning.
-The ribs on the humeral stem allow for better fixation
of the tuberosity fragments during hemiarthroplasty.
